Your iPhone saves the spot by itself the moment it disconnects from your car. One-time setup, about 2 minutes.
Heads up: you opened this from a Home Screen icon. Auto-saves land in Safari, so open Find My Car in Safari (or re-add it to your Home Screen with βOpen as Web Appβ turned off).
Open the Shortcuts app β Automation tab β + (New Automation).
Choose CarPlay β Disconnects. No CarPlay? Choose Bluetooth β pick your car β Is Disconnected.
Pick Run Immediately (and turn off βNotify When Runβ) β Next β New Blank Automation.
Add action Get Current Location.
Add action Open URLs. In its box paste:
Then replace LAT: delete it, tap the blue Current Location bubble above the keyboard, tap that bubble once more and pick Latitude. Do the same for LNG β Longitude.
Tap Done. That's it.
When you turn the car off, this page pops open for a second and shows ββ Car spot savedβ. Later just open Find My Car and the arrow points back.
Garage tip: GPS is weak underground, so the saved spot can be off. Snap a photo of the level/pillar sign with βFix spot / noteβ.
